the NGONDA Foundation fights for the dignity, health, and rights of young girls in the DRC. Through educational, community-based, and practical actions, we break down taboos and promote accessible and respectful menstrual hygiene.
ABOUT
La Fondation NGONDA is a philanthropic organization committed to fighting menstrual poverty in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Too many young girls miss school or face stigma due to a lack of access to appropriate hygiene products and menstrual health education. NGONDA is working to ensure they can experience their periods with dignity, safety, and confidence.
Our mission: to improve hygiene, health, and education for young people, while supporting local economic development through the production of reusable menstrual pads.
We strive to create an environment free from taboos, where young people can express themselves freely and access the resources they need to thrive.
Our vision: a future without period poverty, in the DRC and throughout Africa
