Join the Movement: Giving Tuesday with NGONDA Foundation

"Giving Tuesday" is a global movement that inspires acts of generosity around the world.

On this special day, we at the NGONDA Foundation express our immense gratitude to all our donors and friends. Your generosity is the cornerstone of our work and achievements.

Yet, our journey continues, and your support remains crucial. Please consider donating and supporting us in any way you can.

Our current needs are specific fabrics for making reusable pads, sewing machines, threads, and solar panels. Every contribution, large or small, is invaluable to the girls we are dedicated to helping. In fact, just 1 USD can make a significant difference in improving the menstrual hygiene of one girl.

Together, we can transform the lives of countless young girls in the Congo DRC.

We are also seeking volunteers, so please don't hesitate to join our cause.

Become an ambassador for the NGONDA Foundation, help spread our message and actions.

Together, we can make it happen!

Gratitude and Giving: Celebrating Thanksgiving with the NGONDA Foundation

As the leaves turn golden and the air grows crisp, we at the NGONDA Foundation extend our heartfelt Thanksgiving wishes to each of our donors, supporters, and the ever-expanding circle of friends who have become part of our journey.

Thanksgiving is a celebration of generosity and community spirit. It's a time to embrace gratitude, to care deeply for our fellow beings, and to acknowledge our interconnectedness with nature and each other. This special day finds its roots in the Native American tradition of selfless giving, a philosophy that aligns closely with our mission at NGONDA.

Today, as we honor these values, we invite you to join us in a cause that is close to our hearts. Together, we can break the silence around menstruation and put an end to menstrual poverty. There is no shame in the natural cycle of a woman's body. Let's dispel the myths and stigmas surrounding menstruation. No girl should have to miss a day of school because of her period.

This Thanksgiving, let's unite in our efforts. Spread our message, contribute what you can. Every donation, no matter the size, is a step towards change and is received with the deepest appreciation. Let’s make this Thanksgiving a turning point in our shared journey towards empowerment and understanding.

Fall 2023

Fall 2023 Update

Dear NGONDA Foundation Supporters,

As the leaves change and the days grow shorter, we find ourselves reflecting on the progress we've made this year and planning for the brighter future ahead. We're thrilled to share some exciting updates with you!

Transition to Quarterly Updates

Starting this season, we're moving to a quarterly newsletter format. This change allows us to provide you with richer, more comprehensive updates on our activities and projects. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to keeping you informed about our journey.

A Message from Our Heart

First and foremost, we owe you an apology. Since our grand launch event, our communication channels have been quieter than we would have liked. But rest assured, our silence was not inaction. Behind the scenes, we've been diligently working to bring our mission to life.

Homecoming of a Visionary

Our founder, Esther Kingambo, has taken a monumental step by resettling in the Democratic Republic Of Congo (DRC). Her dedication and passion have been the guiding force behind the foundation's success.

Trips to Gungu, DRC

This year, we embarked on two significant trips to Gungu, DRC. The first trip was a heartfelt experience as we distributed pads and met the wonderful girls we aim to empower. Their enthusiasm and gratitude were overwhelming and further strengthened our resolve.

Our second journey was not just about distribution but also about listening. We returned to Gungu to gather feedback and to officially establish our office. This space, equipped with sewing machines, serves multiple purposes: a workshop, a storage facility, and most importantly, a safe haven for girls and educators. This is where empowerment takes shape, stitch by stitch.

A Milestone Worth Celebrating

The establishment of our office in Gungu, DRC, marks a major milestone for the NGONDA Foundation. This is not just a physical space, but a symbol of our commitment to the community. It’s here that the dreams and aspirations of young girls and women find a nurturing environment to grow. Our presence in Gungu, solidified by your support and the dedication of our team, is a beacon of hope and empowerment for the region.

A Heartfelt Endeavor: Our Founder's Journey to Orphelinat Kimbondo

Our founder, Esther Kingambo, embraces every opportunity to broaden the reach of our foundational messages of awareness. On a recent journey, she visited the Orphelinat Kimbondo, an orphanage nurturing 600 children on the outskirts of Kinshasa. Her purpose was to personally touch the lives of these young girls, to guide, motivate, and instill in them the confidence that lies within every group of girls to become the female leaders of tomorrow.

The theme of her gathering centered on 'The Development of a Woman,' tackling subjects such as sexual maturity, professional opportunities for women, stepping out of one's comfort zone—a term that carries special weight in the DRC—and building self-assurance. Each topic was carefully chosen by her to resonate deeply with the girls, inspiring them to envision a future where they can rise as empowered women.

We invite you to witness the impact of this visit through Esther's eyes. A video capturing these unforgettable moments is available below, illustrating the journey towards empowerment and change that she represents for our foundation.

We encourage you to watch the video in this section to share in the experience of Esther’s visit. It's a glimpse into the powerful moments of connection and the seeds of empowerment that she's sowing for the future leaders among us.

In Closing,

As we look to the horizon, our journey is far from over. Empowering girls and women, enhancing health and education, and challenging societal barriers are monumental tasks that require collective effort and generous hearts. Your donations are the lifeblood of our mission, making every success story possible. As you share in our achievements, we humbly ask you to consider contributing to the NGONDA Foundation. Your support not only fuels our current initiatives but also paves the way for us to expand our reach across the African continent and beyond.

Every contribution, big or small, creates a ripple of change. Consider making a donation today and join us in sowing the seeds for a brighter, more empowered future.

Thank you for being the core of the NGONDA family.

Warm regards,

The NGONDA Foundation Team
