Our Mission.
Our mission is to fight period poverty and empower girls and women in Gungu, Democratic Republic Of Congo. The NGONDA Foundation aims to improve hygiene, health, and education through sustainable innovations and economic development. In addition, we want to create an environment where we can educate both women and men on female sexuality and biology. We hope to extend our mission to the whole African continent and beyond.
Our Vision.
What we fight for is a world where menstruation will become normalized, by offering the girls a safe way of dealing with their period in all dignity. Ngonda aims to provide a straightforward and sustainable solution. We want to produce high-quality menstrual products for girls and women in need, combined with education on reproductive health. In addition, we will give support and advice to women and normalize menstruation in the eyes of society. We’ll have access to the materials needed to provide knowledge, services, and products to the newer generation through cooperation with local artisans. At the same time, ambitious members will be training to work on community building. Ngonda commits to forming teachers to help young students pursue their education and get vocational training in the development of organic fabrics, menstrual hygiene products, and offering their services.
