Esther Kingambo

Esther Kingambo Kutema’s dream is to become a good philanthropist by helping young girls in Congo, to provide sustainable menstruation pads to those in need, to raise awareness about this issue and also to create a safe haven for girls and women. We want to create an environment where both women and men can be educated on matters of female sexuality and biology.

Esther moved from Congo to Belgium in 2010 with her husband and started working as a nursing assistant for disabled children. There, she had some friends who managed to convince me to participate in the Top Model Belgium 2016 competition and ended up winning, she still continues to model in NYC. This was the kickstart to my modeling career and has brought me incredible satisfaction in life.

As of 2018 she is living in New York City with her husband and two girls where she still has a modeling career and became a Beauty Ambassador.

Nevertheless, She still cares about people’s health and couldn’t forget about that Congolese village she left behind many years ago. She made myself the promise to come back and help my fellow mothers, daughters and sisters and make sure the next generations don’t face the same obstacles we did.

To provide them with a healthy way of managing menstruation and an adequate quality of life , she decided to launch the NGONDA Foundation. NGONDA – which means moon in Gipende, her native language – is a charity organization which will focus on the local production of cheap and durable period products to contribute to their economy and keep them independent of outsiders. She chose the name NGONDA because women’s menstrual cycle is synchronized with the lunar cycle and, just like the foundation, the moon provides light even during the darkest of times.
